Never say never | Romey

I have always thought of myself as a “night person,” especially when it comes to exercising and strength. When I awake in the mornings, I just cannot imagine starting my day with a workout. I know that there are great numbers of people who head to the gym on their way to work or wherever, but I never counted myself among them.Well, all of that changed today. Because I wanted to get an extra workout this week, I decided to go to the gym on Saturday. However, between Dr. Tim’s schedule and mine, I had to be there by 8:30 a.m. I have, in fact, been to the gym on Saturdays in the past but never as early as today. First of all, I couldn’t believe that I was ready to leave the house by 8:00. I drank a glass of carrot juice but didn’t eat anything because I didn’t want to exercise with a full stomach. I wondered if I’d be able to function at all once I got there. Well, lo and behold, in a matter of 50 minutes, I worked arms, legs and abs and even spent some time on the spin bike. I left with a great feeling of accomplishment and amazement. Yesterday when I expressed my doubts about being able to work out in the morning, Dr. Tim replied, “You will.” Indeed I did.
